Martinsville Loses Busch Race To Canada

The stock car racing series will hold a Busch race on August 4th at a Montreal road track where Formula One cars usually run. NASCAR chief executive Brian France appeared with top executives and a driver from each series for the announcement yesterday. He has worked on this project for two years. The Busch Series, one level below the Nextel Cup, will race on the two-point-seven-mile road track that hosts the Canadian Grand Prix on the Formula One calendar. NASCAR already has Busch events in Mexico and the organization views the move into Canada as a way to expand its reach in North America. Copywright: AP .
